We had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Aoichi during our time in Tokyo! Located in the beautiful Minami-Aoyama area, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Japanese barbecue. Right from the start, the service was incredible. Our server was exceptionally patient with us, doing his absolute best to make us feel comfortable and taking the time to communicate their best recommendations for a perfect grilling experience. For international travelers, they make everything seamless: they provided an English menu, and there is a convenient QR code at the table that pulls up a picture menu with an easy English language toggle. As ill-prepared travelers, we didn’t have any cash on us, so we were incredibly thankful that they accepted credit cards! The food itself was outstanding. They offer a fantastic variety of incredibly flavorful cuts of beef, with the Wagyu being the absolute star of the night—melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Beyond the premium meats, their side dishes were also excellent and paired perfectly with the meal. We would definitely visit this spot again next time we are in the area. Highly recommended!
