Aokiya, nestled on Edogawa's 2 Chome, is a quaint dessert shop with a distinct nostalgic charm. Visitors can explore a range of traditional Japanese sweets such as daifuku, manju, dango, and dorayaki, all crafted by hand. The offering also includes some savory options like onigiri and inari, creating a diverse menu that caters to various palates. However, the choices can be limited, perhaps due to a consistent patronage or production constraints.
The ambiance of Aokiya is reflective of an older setting, which some customers find appealing for its historic and serene atmosphere. It's worth noting that the shop is physically connected to Fujiya, so guests can access a selection of Western-style treats too. Though there have been past remarks about product inconsistencies, overall visitor experiences suggest welcoming service. The establishment accommodates quick stops but may not offer specialized facilities like a wheelchair-accessible car park.
Aokiya operates various hours throughout the week, typically opening from 10 AM to 6 PM most days, though it closes an hour earlier on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's been several years since any new customer reviews have surfaced and no updated information is available from the owner, making it challenging to determine current offerings or any recent changes made to the business. Visitors seeking a taste of this locale's desserts might want to prepare for potential unpredictable stock upon their visit.
