Used to be great, but when I went recently it has definitely gone downhill. Food was not good enough for the price paid. In an almost empty restaurant, they sat our table of 2 right next to another. This made the whole experience very awkward.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY VERY DISAPPOINTING I recently visited Aperitivo in Leichhardt, expecting a high-quality dining experience based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience fell short. The bruschetta appetizer was overpriced at $19 for three pieces of stale bread with minimal toppings. Before we finished, the main course arrived, which was a surprise. The lamb ragu was disappointing. The pasta was chewy, the tomato sauce tasted like it had been in the kitchen for days and tasted old, and the dish contained very little lamb. I chose not to complain at the time, as I wanted to maintain a romantic atmosphere with my partner. However, I was further disappointed when the bill arrived with increased prices. As a diner in Leichhardt, known for its Italian cuisine, I expect more from local restaurants. It seemed like the owner prioritized profits over quality and customer satisfaction. I hope the restaurant will take feedback seriously and improve their offerings to meet the standards of the local community.
