Exceptional food. Service friendly and knowledgeable and surroundings are great, everything has a hint towards honey and bees (even the soap in the toilets). Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50

A true hidden gem in Brighton. The cocktails are sublime, and every dish we ordered was incredible. The standard was so consistently high that picking a favourite was nearly impossible. Nothing disappointed. The service was second to none, with Luke deserving a special mention for being particularly attentive and knowledgeable. We can’t wait to come back. It’s difficult to put into words just how special this restaurant is! We booked on recommendation and our only regret is not booking sooner. Every single dish was absolutely delicious and so obviously had much thought and care put into the combination of flavours and textures. We dined at Apiary the day after experiencing a tasting menu prepared by a Michelin chef and whilst it was fantastic, the quality of plates at this restaurant was on par. The Mead flights were an experience not to be missed and we appreciated the knowledge shared by the team - we cannot wait to return! Our favs? The beef carpaccio, chalk stream trout, black tiger prawns and toasted cauliflower I must add that the recommendation came from someone with a severe all nut and egg allergy. Not only did Apiary accommodate the allergies, but they curated a menu just for them and went above and beyond. Anyone with allergies will know how rare it is for restaurants to go to these lengths and they deserve a lot of support for doing so.
