Manager completely dropped the ball – but server JJ saved the day I placed an online order and came to pick it up at the Applebee's on Kiske Lane in Reno, Nevada. When I walked in, there were about 5 servers working, but I stood there for several minutes without anyone acknowledging me. I finally walked up to the bar, where the manager was standing. She was watching TV, chatting with someone, arms folded, completely disengaged. I gave her my name and asked if my order was ready. She looked around confused, didn't seem to know what to do, and then turned to a young woman at the computer – who was clearly busy trying to figure out another customer's check (probably new). The manager just said, "Yeah, can you take care of his order?" and then walked right back to her spot, arms folded, watching TV and BS-ing with co-workers. My order was already ready – she could have easily grabbed it herself. Instead, she dumped it on a server who was already swamped. That server (I believe her name was JJ) was incredibly nice and got my order for me, but she was clearly busier than anyone else there. Bottom line: The manager should have taken the initiative – that's literally her job. Make your customers feel like a priority, not an inconvenience. I'm grateful for JJ's kindness, but management seriously needs to step up and act professional. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Cristina the bartender was very helpful with when asking for recommendations. She was very welcoming and very attentive to me with whatever I needed. Her manager was also top tier. Cristina choice of the tortilla soup was fantastic. The manager suggestion of a dab of sourcream was a Game changer!. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Great Service

Food was great! Had the pretzels and the chicken parm Fetta. Good timing on appetizers than followed up by the main plate. I sat at the bar and Cristina behind the counter was very nice and always asking if I needed anything else. Didn’t think I was going to eat everything in one sitting but the music, tv baseball games, and employees made me feel relaxed and comfortable to demolish the food! Thanks for the great meal while away from home! 1 Gazillion stars! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
