Enjoyed our server Becca. Very friendly. Food was great aside from the steak. Pretty gristly but my husband refused to send it back. Told our server it was good. I’m sure they would have made a new one if he asked. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

So many things went wrong with this meal and the service. Saturday late afternoon, the place is really empty. First, my husband witnessed the bar tender pouring his beer into a mixing tin. His been was warm and flat - lots of foam. My husbands chicken was cooked, but the sauce looked old, and the noodles were cold. I was really looking forward to having the OM Cheeseburger because I had seen it advertised. When I got my food, the cheese was still cold and not melted at all. When I asked the server about it, she gave me a song and dance about how long they could keep it on the grill. It is written on the menu that it is served on a sizzling platter. The platter was cold, and the fries looked like they were expired. But the server insisted on arguing with me. It did not even look close to what is advertised. I guess they must have set the entire plate on the grill, because the fries were really nasty, and the burger looked really weird. I refused to eat it. I asked the manager to take it all away and I would not be paying for this. I really wish now that I would have snapped a picture of this. She had offered to replace, or make new, but the fact is - I was already upset with the server arguing with me, and having an attitude about the food I was paying for, that I had lost my appetite. I am sorry, I will not be going back to Applebee's. There are very few places that I write off, and in my opinion Applebee's has gotten about as bad as Denny's. Very disappointed. I recently dined at Applebee's Grill + Bar and overall, it was a great experience. The location of the restaurant is nice, although like other Applebee's locations, it can feel a bit cramped in certain areas. However, this did not detract from the overall dining experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the incredibly friendly staff. Rose and her trainee provided excellent service throughout the meal. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Their warm and friendly demeanor truly enhanced the dining experience. When it comes to the food, I must say that it was served hot and fresh. I decided to try the 2 for $36 deal, which was a great value. As an appetizer, I ordered the Onion Rings. These were absolutely delicious - super crispy and packed with flavor. They were the perfect way to start the meal. For my main course, I opted for the Four-Cheese Mac & Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders. The chicken tenders were a hit - they were crispy, yet tender, and the honey spice was just the right amount of sweet and spice. The Mac & Cheese was made with Zitti pasta, bacon bits, and a blend of four cheeses that were melted and served over the noodles. It was a comforting and indulgent dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, my experience at Applebee's Grill + Bar was fantastic. The combination of the friendly staff and delicious food made for a memorable dining experience. If you're looking for a casual restaurant with great food and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend giving Applebee's a try.
