Service was atrocious, waited an hour for two dishes. Waiter told us only after asking that the delay was due to the large group behind us and only apologized after hearing complaints despite seeing us disgruntled. Food was ok but bland and basic. Definitely not Portuguese cuisine, go someplace else in Funchal. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €15–20

Arsenal restaurant in Madeira is an absolute gem and definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff are incredibly friendly, and most importantly, the food is outstanding. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care – you can really tell the kitchen operates at a very high level. One of the biggest advantages is the pricing. For such excellent quality, the prices are surprisingly affordable, making it one of the best value-for-money places on the island. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Madeira – highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great food at a great price!
