BEST DUCK PAELLA/PAELLA EVER. Favorite meal in BCN. My crew of 5 made a dinner reservation but we still had to wait about half hour.. Tinyyy restaurant in a sketch area. Be mindful of your surroundings. Food: A -Blackberry Mojito (8 €) YES. Get it -Duck Paella (16.50 €) I will be dreaming about this for the rest of my life. One of my favorite dishes I have ever had. Creamy and crispy rice and the succulent duck. Eyes rollllling. I asked for an extra to go and they thought I was joking. NOT A JOKE I'M STILL SAD/UPSET OK. -Seafood Paella (15.50 €) -Seabream Flame Tataki (11 €) Delicious, get it. Visually appealing and delectable. -Crispy Octopus (13.50 €)  The potato foam and crispy texture was fun and tasty Service: B -Upset waiter thought I was kidding that I wanted an extra duck paella to go. My company convinced me to pass. NEVER listen to your company and listen to your soul people..... -Decent and not too memorable But I will be back. Very tasty food and drinks.
Word of caution: the area surrounding the restaurant is sketchy. Keep a close eye on your personal belongings, and know that this is not the neighborhood to linger/shop/be seen hanging outside. Someone even "bumped" into my other half, and I'm almost certain it was a failed attempt to pickpocket him. Now, for the restaurant review! I discovered Arume via Yelp, and knew we couldn't leave Barcelona without having paella. The other reason I chose this spot was the option to order paella for one - as my other half isn't a big fan of seafood (like I am). I made reservations on a Sunday evening for a Tuesday 7pm dinner, and I'm so glad I did (thank you fellow Yelpers). They open right at 7pm, and there was already a line forming when we arrived (and after we left). We just walked right in! Prepare yourself for an unforgettable meal and great service. I ordered all of the star dishes - the crispy octopus with foam (heaven), the blackberry mojito (so dangerously delicious, I could have had two more), and the seafood paella was just divine - and the small bite I took of my other half's duck paella was equally as good. I didn't think we'd have room for dessert, but you must find a way to fit the chocolate chip cookie with violet ice-cream dish - it's worth pushing the edges of just how full you are, because it's both unique and will make your tastebuds sing. This was a perfect way to cap off our last night of vacation!
One of the best meals we had in Spain - seriously. The paella was killer, and every small plate we shared was phenomenal. In an odd little side street but absolutely worth the trip. Go!
