Visited this vegetarian spot and really enjoyed the food—everything was delicious. The ambiance is also very calm and quiet, which makes for a nice dining experience. However, they seem heavily understaffed. A single person was managing everything: taking orders, handling the cash counter, and trying to check on service standards in between. The staff is working hard, but management definitely needs to add more hands to improve service efficiency. Worth a visit for the food, just pack a little patience! For Indian Pure Veg food lovers travelling to Colombo in Sri Lanka, this place is a must visit. While there are many other equaly good options, Arunthathee Vihaar deserves special mention as they are in the busy market area (main street) so after a frenzy spice shopping (just 5mins away) round, this meal was heavenly. Whatever we ordered was well done and felt like home. Only regret.. we landed here on the last day of our trip but surely coming again! Two points worth mentioning: One, the entrance is blink-n-miss small (attached pics) but once you climb up one flight of stairs is the dining hall (dont think they have an elevator or maybe we missed that) Secondly prices mentioned in reviews (Rs 500-1000 per head) are in Sri Lankan Rupees so for Indian travellers, its roughly one third the amount.
