The only (?) authentic Japanese restaurant in Hidaka. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is nice. I wonder if something like an old pillar is used? I also like the design of the store as it has an elegant feel. It's nice that there are not only tatami rooms but also table seats. Many foreigners are unable to sit cross-legged or sit straight, and overwhelmingly prefer to eat while sitting on a chair, so if you want to take foreigners to a casual Kaiseki meal at a table, we recommend Asahi. To be honest, we don't use it often, but we have visited it many times for memorial services. Rather than being a casual place to go, it's more of a place to visit on a special occasion.
