Cozy local restaurant with fresh homemade food. They don’t speak English but they make you feel comfortable and some basic Japanese is more than enough to communicate. They are very friendly and welcoming. Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It is a stones throw from the local Anamori-Inari station, and is a good stand-by for travelers looking for a break from faster-paced restaurants found throughout Tokyo. Asahi is an Ota local that feels like a snapshot back to 1966 when it was first opened, Asahi offers straightforward, simple Japanese affair done with the experience and friendliness of a family that has been operating for decades. After a long day of navigating Tokyo's trains, hunting for souvenirs, and getting pleasantly lost in the city, there is Asahi. A place where the owners are watching the local news, guessing where their guests are from, and making sure their food is great quality.
