Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere for dining in! The waitress was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable! We were excited to try their tofu spring rolls, tofu Bahn Mi, and vegetarian crab vermicelli soup. The spring rolls were fresh with plenty of peanut dipping sauce. The bahn mi was a shareable size. The bread was crispy and soft. The pickled daikon and carrots in the bahn mi were the best we ever had! The tofu in the sandwich was tossed in sauce and so yummy. The star of the show was the vegetarian crab vermicelli soup! The broth was fresh with tomato, pineapple, umami flavor! It had 3 different vegetarian meats and fresh side of cabbage, bean sprouts, lemon, chili oil, soy ‘shrimp’ paste, and Thai chilies. My wife can’t wait to eat the noodle soup again! We are looking forward to trying more of their dishes! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

Hi Peggy S, We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed your dine-in experience at Asian Essence Kitchen! Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback about our atmosphere, service, and vegetarian dishes. We’re glad the waitress could be of assistance and that you found our tofu spring rolls, tofu Bahn Mi, and vegetarian crab vermicelli soup standout. It’s wonderful to hear the spring rolls were fresh with ample peanut dipping sauce, the Bahn Mi bread was crispy yet soft, and the pickled daikon and carrots complemented the sandwich so well. We’re especially pleased that the vegetarian crab vermicelli soup impressed with its fresh tomato-pineapple broth and flavorful vegetarian proteins, plus the accompanying sides. We appreciate your wife’s excitement to return and your interest in trying more menu items. I was a fan of Com Pho Bamboo on First and Nees and was sad to see them close. I heard recently they partnered with other cooks and opened this place. I visited for lunch with friends and to my delight saw many of the dishes I previously enjoyed. Now they offer a lot more dishes and drinks. I shared dishes between friends so we could try a few different items. Spicy Beef Bahn Mi, Grilled Pork Bahn Mi, Chicken Wings and Chicken with Sticky Rice. The Bahn Mi were both delicious. The bread was more of a Mexican Bolillo, but still had a nice toasted crunch and soft doughy center. The meats were flavorful and tender. The Chicken wings were very good. Served with fried Basil and sliced Jalapeños the chicken had a slight crisp and nice with tender and juicy meat inside. The value for this dish is very good. The Chicken and Sticky Rice was very good as well. Hover the chicken was flavored differently than what I was accustomed to. It had a more sticky, tangy flavor. The sking was nice and crispy too. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Just checked out Asian Essence Kitchen during their soft opening and it’s such a fun new spot for Fresno’s food scene. The vibe is cozy and relaxed, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family! Their Vietnamese comfort food like pho, rice plates, and vermicelli bowls really hits the spot, and I loved seeing a solid variety of vegetarian options too And can we talk about the boba? This is honestly the first place I’ve seen in Fresno with so many fun boba toppings! Super customizable and perfect if you like trying new combos. I can’t wait to try their spicy noodle mì cay next time.
