Tucked away in Rethymno’s Old Town, Μεζεδοπωλείο Αστέρας is a cozy meze restaurant serving delicious Cretan small plates made from traditional recipes. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with friendly service and excellent house wine. Dishes are thoughtfully prepared — from slow-cooked meats to fresh salads — perfect for sharing and sampling the island’s flavors. A favorite among locals, this spot offers real Cretan hospitality without the touristy feel. Price per person: €50+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
