It was THE BEST ONE! I'm trying to find the chef who used to cook here. If somebody knows where is he/she working pleaseee let me know. I do miss the manchurian vege balls and the palak planner, again, the best that I 've ever tried.

Food is good but not great. People who prefer mildly flavored food would definitely like it. Well arranged seating and the staff is friendly.

Ok - I'm anglo-indo-pakistani, and lets for a moment just talk COMMON SENSE in cuisine....because i think the chef here on sunday is TERRIBLE for 3 reasons. One, I came to get a quart of veg dum curry sauce just by itself...NO RICE.... they attempted to charge me $20. When i told them that Pasand restaurant on Beltline accommodates my request for $10, they lowered the price to $12. Fair enough...but what was totally disgusting was to get home after my politeness to them, and find my dum curry with a HALF INCH of grease floating on the top, which is UNHEALTHY and quite a bit of work to carefully drain off. Thirdly...I asked for VEG because I am fasting...i told the hostess goat dum sauce is ok with no goat meat, no tomato...by the time i was eating the remnants of the oily mess...i was encountering shredded goat meat, which BROKE MY RELIGIOUS OBLIGATION! I am not coming here again, and I do not recommend this place to anyone! The manager should offer me a refund ... your "chef" is a heartless, lazy, and un-spiritual person at Astoria Biryani House!
