Very disappointing, uninteresting foie gras, duck too salty, vinaigrette too salty, the chef checks his dishes before sending, otherwise mediocre service, 5 tables at most, 2 chefs, a man and a woman, this one gives us took the order with an unprofessional tone, served us without any more professionalism, did not come by during the dishes to ensure the smooth running, in short, a restaurant that was too expensive for haphazard cuisine and service. Review of Atelier Maître Albert I recently dined at Atelier Maître Albert, and while the food was satisfactory—neither exceptional nor disappointing—the overall experience was overshadowed by issues with the service, particularly at the time of payment. The staff’s approach to handling our payment left a lot to be desired. Despite prominently advertising that they accept American Express, multiple attempts to pay with my card were unsuccessful. Rather than addressing the issue professionally or offering a constructive solution, the staff insisted we find an alternative method of payment. This felt both dismissive and inconvenient, leaving a negative impression on what could have been a pleasant evening. As a customer, I expect a restaurant of this caliber to prioritize client satisfaction and honor the payment methods they claim to support. The inability to do so—and the lack of flexibility or understanding from the team—is, in my view, unacceptable and not reflective of a customer-centric approach. Overall, while the ambiance and food met acceptable standards, the service and handling of payment issues fell short of expectations. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve future customer experiences. I will certainly not going back anytime soon.
