This is a very difficult review to write. As a Scranton resident, I'm a big fan of John Basalyga and I really appreciate everything he has done for the area, but this is about the restaurant not him. The place is beautiful and service is excellent, however the food was just good. Which would be fine, if it wasn't (I believe) the most expensive restaurant in the area. The food is commensurate with its peer restaurants: Russel's, Angelo's, AV (to name a few), but its price point is much higher. I had a Cesare salad and linguini with white clam sauce. Both were very good. Not excellent or outstanding, but very good (although admittedly the salad was the size of a side salad). My wife had the squash ravioli and she didn't care for it. She said that the shallots overpowered everything else. She claimed she could taste nothing else. We shared a pistachio creme brulee', which again was very good, but not great. Honestly the creme brulee' at AV is much better. This then is my quandary. I like the owner, I like the place, I like the service, the food was good but the price I felt warrants a much better experience. Price per person: $50–60 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure

We went to A'tera 519 before a show at the Scranton Cultural Center. We had an amazing meal, from appetizers to dessert. Our server, Crystal, was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, friendly and asked if we're going to the show and said she would be sure that we would leave in time for us to get to the show. I asked if she thought we could be out of there by 7:00 (for a 7:30 show); she assured us that she would make that happen. We left the restaurant at 7:01. We never felt rushed; the food was amazing and atmosphere was quiet and calming. Would highly recommend A'tera 519 for a wonderful night out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
