Nestled in the heart of Kelheim's main square, Griechisches Restaurant ATHOS offers a modern atmosphere with a touch of old-world charm. The service is fast and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. While the food is average to good, some dishes lack a certain finesse, such as the salad missing olive oil. However, the Naxos Teller, a plate of gyros and calamari, is a standout dish with a great price-to-quality ratio. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making for an enjoyable dining experience. The establishment features a lovely outdoor seating area perfect for people-watching while sipping on a glass of Greek wine or a refreshing cocktail. Overall, ATHOS is a solid place for Greek cuisine in Kelheim.
I usually only write good reviews, but I have to make the first exception here because this was the worst Greek food I've ever eaten! We go out for Greek food very often and like to try out different places. The portions are very small, the dolmades, which I love, are strangely seasoned. The Greek salad was carelessly prepared and just as small and disappointing. The sheep's cheese was still the best, but far from good. There was only old, sliced baguette from a Greek restaurant. I think there should be a pita with it, since the portions are so small and you're eating Greek and not French. But the service was very friendly!! Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1
