Why not visiting this bar after enjoying International Swimming Hall of Fame? at Atlantic Surf Club, the recipe of delicious tuna burgers is a story that ends up with a really nice meal. Ordering tasty margaritas is a good choice. The friendly staff at this place can show how much they value their guests. The good service will make you feel nice. Here you will pay fine prices. As clients find it, the atmosphere is cool here. Though you should keep in mind that the rating of this spot on Zomato is below average.

This spot was a lot of fun. We got the bicycle taxi down here from our hotel on North Fort Lauderdale Beach (not even 10 minutes away). Before we even got to the strip, we could hear the bass booming from this bar. I need this kinda system for my house, it was good quality bass. Ha. They checked our I.D.s before entering and we were told to sit wherever. It wasn't terribly crowded at all. There were plenty empty tables and our waitress was a really nice lady. The D.J. played some really PG 13 party songs- y'know, like the Macarena... stuff like that. No, I'm not kidding. He played a few of those kinda songs where you've gotta dance to the lyrics- super corny but we enjoyed watching the drunk women "dancing" in front near the D.J. Good times... Our food was good. We got a huge appetizer to split- hot wings, tenders, mozarella sticks, spinach dip, celery/dip, etc. Definitely not healthy food but we were on a vaca- not counting calories. It was around midnight and dark outside the building, so I had no idea the ocean was right in front of us. I'm sure it's beautiful during the day. This place has a great location, good food... I'd certainly come back. 4 stars.

So it has been 4 years since this once upscale place opened as a something positive in Beach Place. The place honestly is now as dumpy at Lulu's Bait Shack across the hall. Had to update my review out of courtesy. Lighting fixtures rusted out completely and not replaced, the always uncomfortable metal stools now chipped and rusted, bathroom sink handle missing on one of the men's room sinks. Imagine a once nice place left to rot for two or three years with no maintenance and you get the idea. Menu has shrunk, portions smaller, the delicious mushroom polenta from my first review - long gone. They still had steak on the menu but at 5pm on a Sunday sad they did not have any steak on hand in the restaurant. The fish tacos used to be three - not they are two. No mention of the number of them on the menu to fool whatever returning guests they have. I am pretty sure the fish in my fish tacos was previously frozen.   View is still good. I would only come back just for drinks and the still good hamburgers -- and to remember when it used to be an upscale good restaurant. Owners have obviously have given up on having this be a nice place in Beach Place and now just another failing dump in dumpy beach place selling booze.  Update: now they are Mexican version of Hooters with no new signage.... such a shame.

I came into the Atlantic Surf Club thinking it would be extremely crowded and overpriced...to my surprise and delight, NEITHER were true---how can 2 for 1 drinks be expensive:)!!! Anyway---I was immediately seated at the long bar facing the beach and quickly served a sweet, delicious "beach" cocktail---mango and rum!!!  Upon delivery and swallowing the first sip, I began to slip into "beach time"! Although I will typically venture through the cocktail menu---martinis to old-fashions, this setting demands umbrellas, rum, and fruit juice!  Cast your usuals aside all---the palm trees demand local, beach flavors!!!!  The bartenders are well-versed in creating amazing cocktail creations; dive in!!! After my drink, the coconut shrimp arrived and I have to say, they were amazing!  The mango chutney complimented the dish spectacularly!!! Onto the next drink and the chicken tacos!!!  Very good---more rum and a mixture of pineapple and orange juice---the waves never looked better!! The chicken tacos arrived with fries---covered with relished cabbage, a Caribbean-like sauce, a little sour cream and soft tortilla.  Pretty magical at 7:00!!! The place started to fill-in near 7:30, but still plenty of seating in and out!! You can't beat the view, the food, the drinks, or the price!!!  All less than $50!!! Definitely worth consideration---I would push for a visit!
