On our last day in Paris we were looking for a nice brasserie for lunch and Google suggested Au Bistro. The chef and server (not his wife, as we had assumed, lol) were incredibly kind and generous. From offering to put treats we'd purchased elsewhere in their fridge, to letting my husband explore their tiny kitchen (he's a chef and was fascinated), to letting my daughter mark their place with duckie stickers, they were the souls of hospitality. Our food was amazing (pate en croute, the veal, the beef, and fish & chips, with a shared chocolate mousse that changed my life), and the bottle of wine was followed by a couple of surprise shots of the chef's wife's delicious homemade liqueur (which we're still obsessing over). This place is a MUST! Ten stars!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
