Au Bon Pain is pretty near Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. You can order perfectly cooked soup, sandwiches and salads. Great coffee is worth trying here.

The high ratings of this cafe wouldn't be possible without the good staff. Enjoyable service is something clients appreciate here. The average rating of Au Bon Pain on Google is 4.1.

Hands down my favorite place to eat on campus.First off, the staff is incredible. They work SO hard and I have never seen them slack. They get slammed with customers nearly every day and are always on it. They have you write your order on a piece of paper so they make sure they get it right, then have you pay at a different counter after you put down your order so when your food is ready, you can grab it and go. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a sandwich/custom coffee. It makes it so organized in there instead of chaotic, even when it's super busy. It's always clean and organized, and if they're ever unsure of something or are out, they'll ask you to clarify or what substitute you want. I swear, I don't know what they're getting paid, but no matter what these people need RAISES because they are phenomenal staff and probably underappreciated, especially with the college crowd running in and out. They have so many great options that are much healthier than nearly anything else you can find around campus. I get the turkey club every time (creature of habit) and it's always perfection, and I'm VERY picky about my sandwiches. They're amenable to you choosing which bread you'd like, which makes a huge difference, and every bread they have is excellent (sandwich bread, baguette, ciabatta, croissant mostly). They have excellent pre-brewed ("cheap") coffee, but they also make on-demand specialty coffee drinks, both hot and iced. No matter what coffee you get, it's nice and strong and will keep you going all day. They normally have 2-3 soups available and macaroni and cheese as sides, which are all delicious so far. They have a selection of baked goods available, some fresh, and some pre-packaged, and the fresh baked are especially delicious, my favorites of which are chocolate croissants (which are on par with those made in French and German bakeries) and blueberry muffins (they have a streusel topping, delicious!)If you're in a rush, they have fresh-made sandwiches, wraps, salads, hard boiled eggs, and fruit/cheese/cracker trays that are grab-and-go.Again, highly recommend!

I love this place!  Great coffee, very friendly staff. Would it be possible to get umbrellas for the tables?

Au Bon Pain is anew addition to the UF dining experience. Opened recently in the 2017 Fall Semester, Next to the renovated Newell Hall. The cafe offers pastries of all sorts and a large assortment of beverage for you morning and afternoon consumption. Across from the cashier is also a soup bar. In the morning it only serves oatmeal and in the afternoon it serves several types of soup and Mac and Cheese. In the cafe they also serve, made to order breakfast and lunch sandwiched, as well as salads. Overall it's a decent place to stop and grab a quickly bite, but beware of the prices as it's pretty high, thus I nicknamed it, "airport cafe". Food: During the peak hours on campus, the parties, would be gone quick and restocked fresh. During break weeks they probably sit there a couple days, so watch out. They're soup bar is  phenomeno, I like to mix the Mac and Cheese together with cheese and broccoli complaints thus far. Service: the sandwich makers and cashiers are courteous and helpful. Ambience: inside it is modern, bright, and clean, much like recent Architect in other locations.
