After visiting Sanctuaire du Saint-Sacrement, you may have a meal at this restaurant. If you like Mediterranean and Moroccan cuisines, you should visit Au-Tarot. To try nicely cooked lamb couscous, lamb salads and tajine is a truly good idea. Good parfait is often ordered by visitors here. Ordering the delicious wine is a decent idea. Some visitors recommend great mint tea or good coffee at this place.

This spot is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. A lot of people say that prices are low for what you receive. The homey decor and lovely atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here. This restaurant is rated on Google 4.4 by its guests.

We had to pay an extravagant price for what had been ordered. The night went like that: We were a table of 20 for a birthday dinner. We all had to take the same menu (couscous), the dishes were placed on the table and we had to serve ourselves. Except for the fact that the meatballs were still a bit raw, the couscous was good (not excellent though). However when the bill came we each had to pay 70 CAD (tax and tip included) which was significantly more than the most expensive couscous of the menu (~55CAD all included for the couscous royal). I believe it is unacceptable that, for a group of ~20 people with a fixed menu and a minimal service (putting the pots on the table) we get such an overpriced meal. Had an absolutely amazing experience here with my friends. The owner treated us as if we were guests coming into his home, and the food tasted home cooked as well. Heaping, huge portions as large as the owner's heart. He did something for me that I've never experienced- not only did he take care to pack my leftovers for me rather than tossing me a box - he filled up the container with even more couscous! I was so touched. The place is tastefully decorated also. Nothing but good things to say about Restaurant Au Tarot.
