To taste perfectly cooked potato salads, ribeye and salmon is a truly nice idea. Order good croissants. Clients of this restaurant state that they found prices average. The lovely decor and pretty atmosphere let guests feel relaxed here.

The food is great! But their seating arrangement personnel (aka the manager) is quite unprofessional. Recommend to smaller parties, definitely no for party 10 or more.

This is a turning back time to when you felt like you are on a microwave diet..The food is not worth the money they charge..Service is pretentious and not worth tipping..During furniture market they mark up the swill even more showing the greedy side of the owners, this isn't a quality resturant but a joke..

By Greg & Jenn • May 30, 2015 Just now getting around to writing about a restaurant that we frequent fairly often in High Point, “Austin’s”. It is located on North Main Street close to the new Hobby Lobby location. When we walked in we were seated quickly as usual, with no reservations. The interior of Austin’s is a little outdated, but the food is consistently good and that is what keeps us coming back. There is a pretty good-sized Bar area to the right as you walk in with some booths around it and there is also a patio area, if you wish to sit outside and eat. The main dining area is fairly large also and there is usually a pretty sizable crowd, as there was this particular evening. The service here at Austin’s is about like the food, consistently good. Our server greeted us quickly and got our orders in. We started out with an appetizer that is our “Go To” item here, “Mushrooms & Zucchini”. They are breaded just enough to conceal them and deep-fried to a perfect crispness, while still leaving some texture to the freshness of the vegetables. They are served with ranch for dipping. Like the interior, it’s a little “old school”, but it is a classic dish that you just simply can’t go wrong with. For dinner Jenn went with the “Atlantic Salmon Salad”. It is served atop a bed of fresh Spring Mixed Lettuce with Cheddar and Monterey Jack Cheeses, Green Onions, Tomatoes, Walnuts and Croutons. Salads here are also served with something special, a Honey Glazed Croissant. These little flaky, sticky creations are simply marvelous. Jenn enjoyed her salad as she usually does. I decided on the “Prime Rib” cooked medium rare. One thing that I simply love about Austin’s is their steaks. I typically order the “Del Monico”, which is a 11 ounce cut of ribeye that is simply divine, but I decided to change it up a little tonight and was not disappointed in the least.
