Great New Year’s Eve Experience We visited this restaurant for New Year’s Eve, and it was fully booked. They called us to confirm our arrival time. The live piano music added a nice touch, and the place was spotless, much cleaner than many others in the area. We had Tuna Tartare with avocado, Grilled Baby Squid, and Chateaubriand as our main dish. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. To celebrate, we were given complimentary Cava, our waiter even sign nice Spanish song. It was a fantastic experience, and we’d love to come back again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a mixed experience at Avangard. The outside dining area was very smart and things started well. Our waiter was kind and indulged me by speaking Spanish to help with my wish to practice the language. He recommended an excellent Chardonnay too. However, the bread we ordered was so stale we could hardly break the rolls. Ice Hockey might have been a better use for them. Another waiter who may have been a supervisor changed them but they were no better. My wife ordered pasta with spinach and salmon. There was no discernable spinach in the dish so I pointed it out to the supervisor. He reponded by frowning and shining his phone torch onto the meal and we peered into the creamy sauce. We debated whether the dark specks were evidence of spinach. This was embarrassing to say the least. He offered a new version but we declined. My soup and Amberjack fish courses were reasonably good. Sadly the experience left a bitter taste in our mouths and it wasn't due to spinach. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

A mediocre meal at best but had the oysters big mistake three days later still suffering. So beware and keep clear. Fillet steak awful not sure how they cooked it one of the worse meals I have had in Tenerife I have been here for 36 years.
