Italian dishes are on the menu at this restaurant. The recipe for success of Avanzare is its perfectly cooked prawns, halibut and lobster ravioli. It's a pleasant experience to eat good chocolate cakes, brulee dessert and crème brûlée. Delicious marsala, martinis or house wine are the best drinks of this place. Here you can have great coffee.
Visit this spot to celebrate an anniversary, wedding or a birthday party. A number of guests mention that the waitstaff is competent here. This restaurant is notable for its enjoyable service. It's a pity, food here isn't worth the high prices as users indicate. There is a comfortable ambiance and fine decor at Avanzare.

Possibly the worst meal, and particularly at that price, that I have ever had in Springfield, Missouri. Money would’ve been well spent at some other mediocre restaurant. Entree was of poor quality, and served lukewarm.

Awful service and awful Asst Mgr. skill set...Ordered two appetizers and glass of tea. Server NEVER took entree order at all. Server stood around at grill waiting for orders but not servicing tables. I ran out of tea twice and had to ask for refills both times. They brought out bread service and just piled the plate with garlic, parmesan, and pesto butter on top the bread in an empty plate and left it on the table without any explanation. I had to ask hostess what the green stuff was; she explained it was pesto butter. I spoke to Asst Mgr who did not address either the bread or tea refill situations. He offered to comp my tea. I simply told him I wanted to see more of the server at my table addressing table needs rather than standing around the grill waiting for orders to come up. Didn’t seem to really affect Asst Mgr; he seemed humored at my frustration with the service. My guest attempted to order wine and server didn’t know wine pour sizes or even the house wine available. After the server went to check what the available red wines and pour sizes were and changed story two more times about wines and prices, I again asked for the manager. He had no idea why the server of nearly a year couldn’t answer these questions. Again, the Asst Mgr seemed honored rather than concerned. I asked for check. Asst Mgr delivered check. I paid. We left and went to Chili’s. Won’t be returning!!!

One of the problems of dining out alone on the road is feeling comfortable. And I felt more than comfortable while dining at Avanzare. Roy did a great job of taking care of me all evening long with his good sense of humor, down-home demeanor and flawless service. The chicken parmesan that I had was outstanding, as was the homemade bread and the fresh garlic chunks they provided with the bread. There was little to nothing I could find wrong with my visit to Avanzare. There's a number of good to very good Italian restaurants in the Springfield area and Avanzare is one of the best of the lot.
