Avoca in Rathcoole is a fine dining spot that offers a diverse cuisine type with great attention to detail. The ambiance is lively and bustling, especially on weekends, but the food is worth the crowd. The interior design is modern and sleek, with shiny and pretty displays of quality products. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality justifies it. Located between M7 and N81, it is a perfect place to rest and enjoy for those traveling to Naas or County Kildare.

One of the special features of Avoca is their outdoor seating area, where customers can enjoy their meal in the fresh air. They also have a great selection of wines, soft drinks, and cocktails to complement the dishes. For example, they offer a refreshing lemonade with mint and cucumber, a fruity sangria, and a classic gin and tonic.

Their menu boasts of premium products, such as the Mont D'Or cheese, and a great salad selection, along with tasty hot foods. Their chicken sandwich with crispy crackling and stuffing is a must-try, as well as their fluffy scrambled eggs with avocado mash and crispy bacon. However, some customers have noted that the food portions are getting smaller and prices are going up.

The service in the retail section is pleasant, with friendly staff and a great shopping atmosphere. However, the service in the restaurant area can be variable, with some customers experiencing slow service and poor customer service. Despite some drawbacks, Avoca remains a popular establishment for those looking for quality food and a great shopping experience.

We hope to welcome you back to Avoca again soon to enjoy those beautiful views Miriam Kelly Local Guide·27 reviews·9 photos 4 weeks ago So disappointed we have been going here for years for breakfast. The pancakes use to be beautifully cooked and presented on the plate with indivdual pots of mascarpone maple syrup and fruit. …More 1 Steve 9 reviews·4 photos 4 minutes ago New I have been going to Avoca for many years, it has always been more expensive that other places for anything they sell. Recently my wife and I went there for a coffee, we ordered a coffee each and 2 cakes, the bill came to €26.50. Now, what annoyed me was my wife had to go back to the counter to ask for napkins, she was told they were waiting on a delivery and only had one napkin. For an upmarket place like Avoca who charge a premium for their wares to run out of napkins in a restaurant is in my opinion unacceptable. If they were waiting on a delivery they could have sent an employee to buy some locally to keep them going so customers dont have to go without. That was only one issue. The dirt and filth in their outside eating area was disgusting, tables not cleaned, rubbish under tables in flower pots and behind seating. The car park is also filthy, looking like a dumping ground for rubbish. Its absolutely disgusting and Never cleaned. This place has gone downhill in a very bad way. When I spoke to the restaurant manager about all this he seemed very disinterested and told me there was a problem with napkins but said they have plenty, I asked why we had to ask for them and were only given one between two of us..... he couldn't answer, I pointed out the dirt and filthy eating environment outside and he said absolutely nothing... i will not be attending their restaurant at any stage in the near future based in this visit. Its not acceptable. Im sure I'll get some manager coming on here with all sorts of talk in his reply to my review which means absolutely nothing unless they do something about the issues, I have no hesitation in sharing these photos with you. The fact that you have no email address for a complaint or a general manager says a lot and is the reason for this review here. Clean your restaurant and make sure your purchasing officer does their job on time... its not unreasonable for people paying a premium to want to eat in a clean area and be given a napkin while eating.

What has happened to Avoca? Have just left there after a terrible lunch. Soggy, tasteless chicken Caesar wrap followed by a replacement bowl of soup, which was greasy. Even the slice of cake couldn’t satisfy.
On a brighter note, the service we received when we complained was second to none. We also got a refund
