Last May 1, 2026, my partner and I stopped in the town of Cayey, PR in order to go for lunch. We asked some people for a good lunch options and they agreed that Awacates would be our first choice. It's located in Baldorioty de Castro St in the downtown. There is a free parking near. When we arrived, there were several tables available, and Karitza, our waitress, seated us. We ordered a beer and a Coca-Cola Zero. Even though the place got crowded later, the service remained efficient. As the name suggests, there are multiple options for stuffed avocados: chicken, steak, ropa vieja, avocado tacos, etc. Avocado reigns supreme! My partner ordered shrimp asopao with tostones, and I had chicken breast in mushroom sauce with breadfruit tostones. It includes green salad and obviously avocado. The food truly exceeded our expectations: perfectly cooked, flavorful, and plentiful. We congratulate Chef Angel on the preparation of the dishes and Karitza, our waitress, for her attentiveness and excellent service. We highly recommend Awacate!
