2 mins walk from Tōbu-Nikkō Station, this spot serves delicious, clear, and deeply savory shoyu broth ramen and udon. The highlight was definitely the layered yuba topping, soaked up the rich soup like a sponge. The service was fast, and the food was both incredibly delicious and affordable. We struggled to find food in Nikko as most closed early (this place closes early too, just not as early). Azuma turned out great. We enjoyed the noodles and the fried options (Best mochi stick I had in Japan). Delicious local sake. We ended up eating here twice in two days because it had good options. The price was very reasonable as well for how much we ate. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Recommended dishes: Japanese Style Deep-Fried Chicken, Noodles, Fried Cheese Vegetarian options: I found several veg items. I didn't ask about broth, but there was a variety of yuba and vegetable based items.
