Let me be honest we live in a time where every place sits at 4.3 stars with hundreds of reviews saying “it was nice, I’d come back.” That doesn’t mean anything anymore. So I keep it simple: if something is genuinely good, I talk about it. Not because I have to. Because I want to. So Polish Restaurant Bajs at Hala Koszyki is really good. The kind of good that lingers in your head after you leave. The sourdough alone is worth mentioning proper bread, the kind you actually appreciate. You don’t need anything with it but then they bring this house Marmite butter and suddenly you’re not so sure anymore. It just works.There was something with beets red, yellow, a bit of this, a bit of that, cheese, seeds.I won’t pretend I remember every detail but I remember the taste. Clean, balanced .Next crispy black pudding bites with some kind of insane mousse. That flavour stayed with me. Every dish feels considered not designed for Instagram, but for actual enjoyment. There’s a real sense of authenticity here, and a fresh, genuinely interesting take on Polish cuisine.The space matters too. It’s one of those places where you just feel good sitting relaxed, warm, well-designed without trying too hard. The kind of interior that makes you want to stay longer than planned. The Wine list. Full of character. We started with Château Kefraya rosé from Lebanon (Grande Médaille d’Or, Brussels 2025) you can taste why. Finished with Catena Malbec 2024 from Mendoza. No compromises anywhere.
