Fomento is pretty near Observatorio Astronomico de Madrid. At this bar, order nicely cooked monkfish, sandwiches and amuse bouches. Good coffee is worth a try here. Guests don't like beer at Fomento.

It's easy to find this place due to its convenient location. Many visitors have noticed that the staff is nice here. The fine service is a big benefit of this spot. You will like affordable prices. Friendly bar, surrounded by some work centers, that sells takeaway food. We stopped to freshen up and they gave us some quite acceptable skewers (see photos). The cook, very nice. The waiter, a little more rude (and not so attractive, in my humble opinion). It had been a long time since they had offered me house wine in a bar without being able to choose any denomination of origin (the red “Batuta” was not bad; Rueda, there was none). We were somewhat cramped and hot, despite the air conditioning, to get used to today's RENFE. I'll be back, I'm afraid. Vegetarian options: There's definitely lettuce. Parking: Very difficult, except at late hours. Too close to Atocha. Kid-friendliness: If they fit, I guess you can put them in. Price per person: €1–10 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Botellín Fresquito de Mahou Estrellas, Montadito de Lomo Con Queso Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking
