The steak was incredibly soft and tender — it practically melted in my mouth. I’ve had steaks from many different restaurants, and this was definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. The potato was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, while the salad was simple yet complemented everything so well. We also had ice cream for dessert, which was a great way to end the night. The place was huge yet cozy, the service was great, and our server was very warm and welcoming. We were a group of three and we liked everything. Probably my favorite was the shish barak, but the kale salad and the monos were delicious. The lamb shack so tender. Also, the bread they served was amazing. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I recently visited BARON Doha, located at the beautiful Old Port Doha, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant is noted as a 2025 Michelin-starred restaurant, and the location is truly outstanding. Being right by the Old Port adds a lot of charm to the dining experience. BARON offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and both are well designed. I personally preferred the outdoor seating, especially during this pleasant time of the year, as the atmosphere and views make it a lovely place to enjoy a meal. As for the food, I ordered the crispy calamari, which was absolutely amazing and easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and truly stood out. I also ordered the chicken steak with shredded French fries, which was quite regular and normal—not bad, but not very memorable, especially considering the Michelin-star recognition. I also had a drink, though I don’t recall the exact one. To be honest, I did expect a bit more overall from a Michelin-starred restaurant. That said, the experience was still enjoyable, mainly because of the ambience and the calamari. I was also told that the restaurant is popular for its lamb chops, so I might return to try them and explore more dishes. Overall, BARON Doha is a good place to visit for the location and atmosphere. I would rate this restaurant 3.5 out of 5. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
