I just ordered some barbecue here spare ribs and this is not a barbecue place. I don’t know why they even have that name. The ribs were oven baked with barbecue sauce on them. This is the worst barbecue plate I ever had and it was expensive $25 a plate For some oven baked ribs and French fries smh never again. Food: 1

At the Bar B-Q Pit of Merced... Just had the best Baby Back Rib Dinner I have had in 4 decades dining out! Excellent smoke flavor and beautiful carmelization! I asked for the sauce on the side because the ribs do not need it. (It is a good sauce that I enjoyed dipping on the garlic bread) Great balance of sides: home made beans, loaded baked potato, corn on the cob, garlic bread au gratin, fresh iced tea. I could not pass up getting a home made cinnamon roll to take home for breakfast. To top the evening off, enjoyed superb service by Eric that complemented the excellence of those who cooked the food. We definitely will be coming back regularly. I give the Bar B-Q Pit of Merced my highest recommendation! Next time I will post pictures of the plates. It was so good looking I jumped right in without a pause. I will be back soon for more, and I must try a slice of the half dozen pies I saw in the fridges on the way out! (My wife had the 12oz prime Rib, and she loved it!). Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Great customer service.
My tacos tortillas were soggy. The beans were dry the chicken meat was dry. My husband's ribs tasted and looked like the were boiled.
