The positive aspect of this restaurant is that the staff is efficient. Fast service is something visitors appreciate here. The atmosphere is cozy, as people see it. But google users haven't given BBQ Shack a high rating.

Ordered the Big Shack Combo. Both the Pulled Pork and Chicken tasted waterlogged with no seasoning or smoke taste and other than the color tasted the same. The ribs were full of gristle, lacking in flavor except a slight hint of pepper on one side, not fall off the bone but not pulling cleanly from the bone either definitely tough and difficult to eat. The Brisket was chewy tough similar to a cheap steak that had been cooked well done, again no seasoning or smoke flavor. Loaded potato salad was good however could have been better with a small touch of salt. The Mac and cheese was good but could use more cheese to raise the bar a little. Also got the turkey sandwich, tender enough but lacked flavor with very little if any seasoning and very little smoke flavor. There are plenty of seasoning blends/rubs commercially available (such as Bad Byrons Butt Rub or Blues Hogg that are sold in commercial sizes) or create their own to greatly improve the flavor. Simple injections would improve flavor as well (such as apple juice, vinegar, beef broth etc) a basic blend would work with minor ingredient changes to suit different Proteins (meats). Needs to figure how to increase the smoke flavor as well as it is a BBQ restaurant selling smoked meats plus the residual smoke smell would be able to draw customers from as far as Jackson St or Lincoln Ave depending on wind directions. The service was good and professional and is one of the plusses. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Ordered a 2lb family pack and they gave us pulled pork soup with some bones in it. Won’t be back. Was not edible. The sides were even gross. Come here if you’re down for fear factor “BBQ SHACK” edition. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1
