I stopped by this bar recently and was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were nicely chilled and refreshing, and the place is fully air-conditioned, which made it very comfortable. What caught me off guard was how empty it was, but considering the current economic reality where many Nigerians are getting poorer, it’s understandable. My name is Anumnu Leader A. I have been a good customer to Best East lounge. I and my friends find the place as a good and comfortable to hangout. But unfortunately I had a bitter expirence which I don't know if the owner of the Best East lounge is aware of the current development. On Sunday, the 18th of this month August 2024, I and my friend just like other days went to Best East to hangout. It happens that the band performance has not started. One Nonso who lives very close to Best East lounge tricked me and my friend to a nearby street to wait while the band performance comes up. After about an hour or a little more, we decide to go back to Best East. As we approached closer the band performance is already on stage. My friends walked in while I moved to check my car which I parked opposite Best East lounge. Then, I pressed my remote to access my car, but to my surprise there was no bip response from the car. I then checked closer and noticed that my Bonet is open and my car battery has been removed and other valuables inside the car. I then called the attention of the Best East lounge management. The supervisor was not happy at first hearing that a customer"s car parked within their outside parking lot was tampered with. She then told me that it will be traced as their camera footage will aid to track those behind the theft. When I asked her to make the camera review while we wait. She later came out to tell us that it is the owner of the lounge that has access to the camera footage. And that he has promised to dig it out those involved. That we should come the next morning while they take their time to review the footage. The next morning I called the supervisor she told me to wait that she is on talk with the boss and that she will call me when they are done talking. She later called me asking me to come over. I went along with my friends not knowing I had an enemy within( Nonso). The supervisor firstly apologize to us of the ugly incident. she said that with their security outfit and station men on guard, such shouldn't have happened in the first place. She then said something that got me and my friend Hon Tony worried, that all cameras are working that the one that covers where the car was parked is not working as at the time of the incident. But that the management has resolved to get me a new battery. That we should wait for their purchase maneger to come and buy us another battery. I told her that how come she told us yesterday evening that they are reviewing the footage that the full details will be made available in the morning . So why did she changed her position. But all the same, since she said that the Boss has taken the responsibility of the replacement I thanked her and we left. I later called her to notify her the battery capacity which is 75 amps. Which I also sent her message on what I was saying as she was not understanding what I was saying on phone. Not longer after the conversation I saw her WhatsApp chat that I will no longer get the battery. That I should not tell her the brand and the capacity of the battery. I later met her to know why the sudden change, she said it was her boss decision. When I requested to have access to her boss, she denied me the access as well as placing blockage on us to see the camera footage. I then asked what is the supervisor covering? Is the Boss truly aware of this incident? Is it that the culprit is asking her not to reveal what happened? My name is Leader A. I am a good customer to Best East lounge. I don't see why I should be treated like this. If I excalate this incident it my not be to the best interest of the lounge owner. Besides I don't know if he is really aware of what has happened and the role his supervisor was playing in covering crime. Of which such actions have its own legal consequences. Atmosphere: 5
