WARNING: Do NOT come to this bar!!! We came in planning to have just one drink before bar-hopping elsewhere. Big mistake. The ridiculously friendly “bomoh” bartender/manager Jane cast some sort of spell on us, and before we knew it, one drink became a few rounds, a few rounds became many rounds, and our entire evening disappeared. We kept saying, “Last one!” but somehow another amazing drink would appear and we’d stay longer. So please, enter at your own risk. If you value your original plans, stay away. If you enjoy great drinks, great vibes, and dangerously good hospitality… well, don’t say we didn’t warn you. Side effects may include: losing track of time, cancelling your next destination, and becoming a regular. Proceed with caution. You’ve been warned. BISO Cocktail Bar is an absolute standout in Georgetown, Penang. The cocktails are handcrafted, creative, and genuinely unique — with an impressive range of flavors, each one beautifully balanced and thoughtfully made. You can tell there is real passion and skill behind every drink. What made the experience even better was the team. They are attentive, warm, and take the time to explain the flavors, ingredients, and the craft behind each cocktail. It adds so much to the experience and makes every drink feel special. I was traveling alone, and they took such great care of me that it felt more like spending an evening with friends than visiting a bar. 10/10 — a true hidden gem in Georgetown and a place I would recommend to anyone who appreciates exceptional cocktails and genuine hospitality.
