This is easily one of my favorite spots to enjoy dinner with my friends. The food is good, but the service is always even better - we visit quite frequently (at least every Thursday) and we love seeing everyone! Everyone is always super friendly, attentive, and accommodating even though I’m sure we can be a handful occasionally. Then ,of course, it’s hard to leave a review without mentioning the people that make the whole experience worth it, we usually sit in Dillon or Mac’s sections (hope I’m spelling names right), and the service is always phenomenal. I’ve also had the opportunity to be waited on by Kim, Lily, Lexi, and Tristan - everything has been wonderful. We often come for the spinach dip and pizookies, but we always stay for the great service and will continue to keep coming to this spot as nightly regulars. If you’re ever stopping by, be sure to ask for one of these amazing individuals - and hit up that $13 meal deal! Came in Sunday with a party of 10. First, I want to make it very clear that our server was great. She was friendly, attentive, and played right along with the fun our table was having. None of this review is directed at her. That said, the rest of the experience was pretty confusing. When we walked in, there were two tables seated in the entire restaurant, yet it still took about 45 minutes before we were seated. For a restaurant with a posted max occupancy of 236, that just didn’t make a lot of sense. We weren’t waiting behind a packed lobby or a full dining room—it was empty. The appetizers were actually great. They came out looking good, the presentation was on point, and everything started off promising. Then the entrées came out and the kitchen consistency just wasn’t there. Two of us ordered the California Chicken Club, with no modifications, and both came without the smoked bacon. They were also absolutely drenched in mayo and garlic aioli to the point that they really weren’t appetizing. One of us ordered a "sharable deep dish" that was no less that a Pizza Hut Personal Pan. Around the table, some dishes looked great while others looked like they came out of an entirely different kitchen. The consistency was just way off. One side note that was more funny than anything: management would not accept one of our IDs through the official Alabama DOT digital ID app for an alcoholic beverage. You know… the state app that actually provides the digital ID. We didn’t argue or make a big deal about it. We understand if everyone isn’t familiar with it yet, but it might be something management should get familiar with. Again, our server was fantastic, and the appetizers showed the kitchen is clearly capable of putting out good food. Unfortunately, between taking 45 minutes to seat us in an almost empty restaurant, missing ingredients, over-sauced entrées, and the overall inconsistency from the kitchen, the experience just wasn’t what we expected from BJ’s.
