Loved this little place we found. We nicknamed it “Mom and Pop restaurant” and went back again before we left Kyoto Limited menu done well! Highly recommend. Small so might need to book although we didn’t buy only 2 of us Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Fantastic mom-and-pop Yakitori spot! The pair were very welcoming and offered us an English menu. The wooden décor and soft lighting made for a great family-friendly atmosphere. The portions are tapas-style, so expect to order up to 10 skewers per person. We ended up ordering ~¥2300 worth of skewers each. Also note they do require one beverage order per person (soft drinks & water OK).
