My wife and I dined at this restaurant last night and were truly impressed. The service was excellent, and the food was fresh and attractively presented. As a Korean, I can say with confidence that this place genuinely delivers on authentic flavour. Visited with colleagues during a business trip and we were all thoroughly impressed. The bibimbap rice topping bowl was excellent — the variety of topping options was appreciated, and the quality was consistent throughout. The jjigae soup was rich, well-seasoned and deeply satisfying — exactly what you would expect from a well-executed Korean kitchen. Having visited several Korean restaurants during our trip, Bab Cafe stood out clearly in terms of food quality and overall dining experience. The space was also notably clean and well-maintained, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. My only regret was not having the means to properly photograph the dishes — the presentation was well worth capturing. Maybe i didn't like it cause i was expecting more like poke bowls. Poke bowls have got steamy rice and cold toppings but this was cold and lukewarm toppings on lukewarm rice. I got the spicy pork classic veggies and the cut for the pork was the belly but it wasn't cooked very well and seemed underdone, at least not hot. Same with the rice, not hot so the whole thing was semi warm and the sauces they have are too sweet so i was left with a too sweet cold thing. They gave you a cup of miso soup and it was good, but they come with those horrible rough one time use wooden spoons, the texture on my tongue makes me want to crack my head against concrete. They offer plastic spoons and chopsticks. $35 for two people basic menu items, portions are okay. Meal type: Lunch
