Been a while since we last dined in Back Galley where it used to look like something out of the 1950s. However it has been modernised to a comfortable Cafe setting which is welcoming and relaxed. Food is still as good as I remember and generous portion size meals. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–40 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Pancakes

First time visiting Back Galley Café in Camden (as my favourite was closed). Small but warm vibes. The dishes we ordered was generously portioned. Pancakes were huge (I didn't finish it) and the double bacon & egg roll was large. Coffee was good and my fresh Sunrise juice was refreshing. Service was just OK: I had to get our own cutlery (but noticed other tables being brought theirs, I don't know why). I would stick to my favourite next time. Staff disinterested. Took my order minus pleasantries. Waited whilst she went outside and patted a friend's puppy, came back in, did not wash her hands then proceeded to make milkshakes. Delivered to our table without a smile or a word. Then went back outside, patted puppy again, returned to counter, again, not washing her hands and then proceeded outside with a lady's coffee, placing it on table without a word and then back to pat puppy. Unfortunately, standard has dropped and customer service and presentation is sadly lacking. Won't be back
