A good dive bar. Good prices on beer. Bar staff are good. Like the people who normally go there. Only criticism, the men's toilet is 1 at a time. So, don't hold it to the last minute. Price per person: $10–20

I used to love coming here when I was underage. They would actually let me in. Me and 3 friends went here last night and got rejected on the last ID because it “looks fishy”. They were all fully legal Texas IDs. The fishy part? The REAL ID star in the top right. We would have loved to end the night here, but the bartenders ego and ineptitude shone too bright last night. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Bartenders have to make their best judgement call in the moment, their job depends on it. They didn’t pick you out of a crowd. They felt like something looked different about your ID. We have seen the star a thousand times, but yours didn’t illuminate under the black light. I am sure this is very frustrating, but a follow up visit to allow further investigation of your ID might clear things up. Insulting the staff will not. If fake IDs were sufficient in the past, it should not be the expectation that it will always work. We are constantly trying to improve our education in this area to better protect the staff and future of the business.

Lots of draft beer selection and very friendly bartenders. I’ve been coming here since it used to be Nasty’s way back in the day and luckily it hasn’t changed too much. Thank you so much Back Lot for keeping your beer prices like Old Austin when so many other places have gone the down the greedy New Austin path! Service: 5
