This is a discount bakery outlet that sells older stock that the original bakeries cannot sell anymore. At closing time, they warmly give away remaining items for free to a large crowd of people in need waiting outside the store. I can only praise their concept and intention. The Baked Goods Outlet offers great food at a low price. It is a pioneer in combating food waste and helps ensure that no one in Basel goes hungry. The employees work on a voluntary basis or for very low wages to support this groundbreaking social mission. – Lots of heart and far away from commercialism and anonymity. BackwarenOutlet customers are actively involved in solving some of the pressing problems of our time.
