Fantastic Badisches Gasthaus, food exellent & very tradional, service fantastic & a very lovely atmosphere & all that for a relativ affordable priece. Very tasty food. I had Wiener Schnitzel (veal) with really good fries, mushroom cream sauce and salad. I think €26 is really reasonable, especially because it was two schnitzels. On the other hand, I found the salad with the fried/fried mushrooms to be a bit overpriced for the portion, especially because there was no other side dish included. Everything happened quite quickly, even though the restaurant was busy. I found the dessert with 3 scoops of ice cream, cream and chocolate sauce to be a bit overpriced at €8-9, but it was also delicious. Unfortunately, the acoustics are a bit annoying. As soon as there are larger and louder groups in the restaurant, there is a lot of echo and you can hardly have a conversation or communicate with the waitress. Maybe some sound-absorbing curtains/partitions should be installed/put up here. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is parking for around 8-10 cars next to/behind the restaurant in a small courtyard. We have been enjoying coming to Badischer Heldt for several years and have never been disappointed! The food is always more than satisfactory. We particularly like the option of being able to freely choose side dishes and sauces (for the main courses), which saves you and the kitchen having to reorder the actual dishes. We last visited on New Year's Eve and even though it was very busy, we were served quickly and reliably.
