Stopped by Badlands BBQ and came away impressed. It’s hard to find barbecue that actually tastes like it was made at home, but this place gets it right. I had the brisket and it was excellent. One friend ordered the turkey sandwich and it smelled so good I almost wanted to steal a bite off his plate, and another had the pulled pork—honestly, too many good choices on the menu. Only downside is it’s a bit of a drive for me. If there were one closer to home, I’d be there a lot more often. Definitely worth the trip. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was having a gathering at my house but due to the rain I needed somebody else to do the barbecuing for me. I was able to call up a day in advance. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate me. The food was ready on time. My guest absolutely loved it. I know for a fact, they have some new customers from my guest. I highly recommend this place been going for years. Best barbecue in Southern California. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Upon arrival to the restaurant, the aroma in the air made me excited. However, It was JUST okay. Must say that I was a bit surprised how dry and bland the bbq chicken and brisket was. I also did not like the mac and cheese or cornbread at ALL. The cornbread had just too much going on (too sweet) with it for my liking. Out of paying 100 bucks, the only things I liked were the smoked wings and baked beans. You can definitely get better brisket and bbq chicken elsewhere. Price per person: $100+ Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
