Really special omakase experience. Everything felt intentional and seasonal, and you can really taste how fresh the ingredients are, many of them grown on their own farm. The courses were simple but incredibly well executed, especially the squid ceviche, which felt like a beautiful Japanese interpretation of ceviche. Intimate and unpretentious, it was the most memorable meal I had in all of Japan. Including multiple drinks, it came out to about $88 USD per person, which felt surprisingly affordable for the level of service and number of courses, especially coming from an American chef perspective. Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We did the omakase at Badu and it was truly one of the best meals of our lives—easily the standout of our entire Japan trip. The concept is so unique, with an open kitchen where the chefs are cooking and serving right in front of you. It creates such an intimate, immersive experience that goes beyond just the food. The vibe and ambience are unmatched—effortlessly cool but still warm and welcoming. Every dish was exceptional, and you can really feel the level of skill, care, and creativity behind what they’re doing. On top of that, the entire team was incredibly kind and talented, which made the experience even more special. We couldn’t recommend it more. It genuinely felt like an honour to dine there.
