My husband and got the most classic Korean dish: Bibinbap. The flavor was good but as you can see the dish was not served in hot stone bowl and the rice was not crisp and was even a bit cold; it also had GROUND beef (that should have been my first clue as to the lack of authenticity). The price was $16.99 each. So for over $40 (we both drank water) this was NOT a good value. He should have charged us half that. Well anyway, now owner can buy soap and paper towels for the bathroom. Stopped in today for lunch as I travel for work in the Charlotte area. I will be eating here every time I’m around (this is my 2nd time here). Both times I enjoyed it from start to finish. The owner is very friendly and the food is always fresh. I got their Japchae and Mandukuk, both were amazing! It’s a smaller place but has big flavors and tastes like a home cooked meal. 10/10 Korean food Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Baek kitchen is an authentic South Korean restaurant and one of the best in the area. I’ve traveled to South Korea many times and eaten a lot of local dishes and if you want an authentic taste, Baek kitchen has it. The fried chicken is juicy, crispy, flavorful and delicious, there are lots of dishes to choose from and you won’t be disappointed. I ordered tteokbokki and it was tasty, I recommend it, also the bibimbap was great, the kimchi is really good as well. I will certainly return for another dish!
