I recently visited Bafarat, a cafe in Riyadh, and had a rather disappointing experience. Our order included 4 iced coffees, 3 sparkling waters, and a tiramisu. Let me break down the issues: 1. The iced coffee was subpar and not prepared properly as a V60 pour-over should be. This was a letdown for coffee enthusiasts. 2. We requested plastic cups for the drinks, as they are meant to be enjoyed as cold beverages, not in paper cups. Unfortunately, the staff declined, citing a shop policy. This policy seemed inflexible and inconvenienced us. 3. To enhance our sparkling water with a slice of lemon, we asked for cups, only to be met with the same rigid shop policy denying us any cups. 4. The tiramisu was also disappointing; it seemed old and lacked the quality one would expect in a cafe. Overall, our experience at Bafart was unsatisfactory. We paid 154 for what felt like a subpar meal, and the cafe's strict policies added to our disappointment. The only bright spot was the cashir, who provided good service.
