This is a good restaurant, much better than the many mediocre Indian ones in Bay Area. They have some interesting dishes on the menu, and they have a good reputation, mostly deserved. Sambar Rice with Chicken Fry: their best dish, and one of our regular orders. The sambar rice has been consistently good since the beginning. The chicken fry is quite decent, and the combo works very well! Karvepaku (curry leaf) Chicken Roast: very promising dish, worth trying at least once. Flavor feels muted, needs more curry leaf. Has become overcooked and oily for some months now, so not popular in our group any more. Mutton Ghee Roast Biryani: The "masala" had good flavor, quite spicy and satisfying. Good quality meat. Portion size was also quite decent. Special Green Juicy Chicken Kebab: quite disappointing. The chicken had no flavor - it felt like the chicken had been cooked separately and tossed briefly in the green sauce. The sauce itself tasted decent, needed a little more flavoring. Meghana Boneless Chicken Biryani: could be better Apollo Fish: not authentic, and not enough flavor Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

Very authentic in the spices use for the various dishes, including seldom noticeable areas such as rice and biryani. Whole spices roasted and fried in ghee.... the aroma and taste is unmistakable, no short cut taken like a lot of other Indian restaurants. Their lunch box is the best deal for a sample of their dishes. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

Tried Bagara's recently and loved the experience! The Biriyani was super flavorful and tasted very authentic—definitely one of the better spots in Sunnyvale for Hyderabadi food. What makes this place stand out is their robot server —such a fun and unique touch! Service was quick, portions were good, and the overall vibe was great for a casual dine-in. Also love that they’re open late till 11:45 PM on Fridays & Saturdays, which is perfect for late-night cravings. Highly recommend if you’re a biriyani lover!
