Beyond all expectations, I would like to point out the friendliness of the welcome and service, baguettes with octopus but above all the earrings with turnip greens that are worthy of applause.... Our visit to Baguetteria Da Gianpiè was a delightful surprise. Located on the bustling main pedestrian street of Polignano a Mare, this cozy eatery is just a short 10-minute walk from the famous Lama Monachile beach. Here’s what made our experience memorable: Tasty Dishes: We indulged in a variety of dishes. The pasta with Italian turnip, the pasta with tomato sauce, the baguette with stracciatella cheese and salmon, and the forest fruit cake were all flavorful and satisfying. Portions were large and nicely served. Friendly Service: The owner, Giampiè, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Not only did he serve us promptly, but he also serenaded us with the iconic Domenico Modugno’s “Volare”. His English was good enough to complement our broken Italian , creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Fair Pricing: Despite the very good quality of the dishes, the prices were reasonable. Verdict: Baguetteria Da Gianpiè is a must-visit for those seeking authentic Italian flavors and a welcoming ambiance.
