I visited BakeLab located inside the Yugo apartment lobby and had a really good overall experience. The space is cozy and well set up, with a mix of tables, booths, and additional seating throughout the lobby, plus outdoor seating. It’s a great spot for both relaxing and getting work done—there’s free Wi-Fi, plenty of outlets for charging, and I noticed a lot of people working while I was there. It was fairly calm around 9 AM on a Saturday but started to get busier by around 10:30. It’s also pet-friendly, which was a nice touch—I saw a couple of dogs and it didn’t feel disruptive at all. The staff were very sweet, friendly, and accommodating. Even though the banana chai wasn’t listed on the menu at this location, they were happy to make it. I tried it both hot and iced (both come with an oat milk base). The flavor was good overall, though the iced version leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. Service was quick since it wasn’t too busy when we arrived—both drinks came out in under 5 minutes. The space was also pretty clean. One thing to note is that the space can get a bit noisy due to an echo, especially as it fills up. It didn’t bother me too much, but if you’re looking for a very quiet place, this might not be ideal unless you bring headphones. They also offer a BOGO deal on day-old pastries here, similar to their main location, which is a great value if you’re open to slightly less fresh items. I also received a free butter croissant through a friend referral, which was a nice perk, though my friend didn’t receive one, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, there’s a $5 sign-up reward, but it requires a $15 minimum purchase, which wasn’t clearly communicated upfront. Overall, this is a solid spot with great staff, a comfortable work-friendly environment, and good drinks. I’d definitely come back, especially for a casual morning or work session. One of the best bakeries on campus. Now they have “Matcha madness” where you can try some unique matcha combinations. I tired Mango Gone Wild. It tasted delicious, but I wish they have more mango flavor there Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection

An incredible local bakery and cafe! The inside makes a great space to sit and study while having a drink or a small breakfast or lunch, and the food and coffee are phenomenal. The staff have been friendly and helpful every time I've visited so far. I'll be coming back regularly!
