After a walk around W. E. B. DuBois Birthplace, many visitors stop by this restaurant. From the guests' viewpoint, salads are nicely cooked here. The energetic staff meets you at Báladi all year round. Spectacular service is something guests like here. The cool atmosphere will be exactly just what you need after a hard working day. Báladi is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday serving up some excellent eats from the Levant. They are operating out of the Fuel Coffee Shop space for select days but it's worth swinging by if your in Great B. The apps and salads slap, the flavors of the salads had balance and freshness, crisp and delicious, solid falafel, and anything grilled was fine just right. Horseradish mayo could have bene creamier, I'm just saying, but I like my aoili thick. Service was faster than Steam but still on Berkshire time. I'd have liked the dishes bused before desert, especially when we ordered half the menu. It wasn't hard to run out space when the food is good good. We placed an order based on a Mediterranean menu. Falafel, Lamb skewer, Hummus, etc. The prices were crazy, only ordering three things and a few pieces of pita bread. After paying the bill, I looked through the bag not seeing the any traditional sauces that every greek restaurant would put in. When I asked, their response, “ I don’t know what that is, we don’t have that here”. Everything was burned to a crisp, but not just burnt, the lamb skewer was essentially a black piece of sausage that looked like it was bitten and thrown in a thin piece of plastic. The falafel was thrown in pita, which wasn’t that way on the menu. Just a complete waste of time and money and we couldn’t eat. Disgusting!! DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE! Trust me, I eat everything, it takes a lot for me to write a review. This place was a total disappointment. Again don’t bother if you want Mediterranean, there is another restaurant in town, go there. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Stopped in to give this spot a try after hearing good things from friends and if the rest of the menu is anything like the lamb pita I had Baladi will rise to the top of my favorite GB eateries. Though the portions are small, when the flavor delivers, an establishment can have all my money. Excited to experience more Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
