In reality this hotel looks special from the advertisement but actually quite average. We experienced some unpleasant hiccups to begin our five night stay. Actually caused us concer n and some stress to begin with. The breakfast was nice but very poor on restaurant food. A toasted cheese sandwich turned up as a bun with hardly any filling and a lump bit of salad. The location was breathtaking and scenic. The overall impression was staff very friendly but in a business sense take your money for very little in return. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 5

1 out of 10 We live in the village. After a nice evening walk down the harbour with the kids we decided to call in for a couple of quick hot chocolates and a cheesecake for my daughter (sweet tooth). Shocking. £4.50 - £5.00 for a hot chocolate! Had to send first one back which was lukewarm. Second one was only slightly warmer. My daughter was really disappointed with the Salted caramel popcorn cheesecake, was just a small bowl of cream which tasted terrible! £8.50! - We were recently at an inn collection pub in Northallerton which had the same menu, my daughter had a SLICE of the salted caramel popcorn cheese cake there, which she said was delicious. She was so upset with the slop that she got at the Bamburgh castle inn. Way overpriced! Clearly just robbing the tourists. Won’t be recommending.
